Delicious divine brown butter peach cobbler: 5-ingredient magic recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 45 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt it in the oven. This should take about 5-8 minutes, watch carefully so it browns but doesn't burn.
  2. Step 2: While the butter is melting, prepare the peaches. In a bowl, gently toss the peach slices with 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar and the cinnamon.
  3. Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 3/4 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Step 4: Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter evenly over the melted brown butter. Do not stir.
  5. Step 5: Arrange the sugared peach slices on top of the batter.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover cobbler, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, or until warmed through, for a comforting treat.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream to complement the brown butter and peach flavors.
  • For extra depth of flavor, use slightly underripe peaches, as they soften beautifully during baking while retaining a touch of tartness.
