Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Step 3: Add the olive oil and water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it comes together.
- Step 4: Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out to a very thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Step 5: Remove the top layer of parchment paper and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into desired cracker shapes (squares, rectangles, etc.).
- Step 6: Transfer the parchment paper with the crackers to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. Let cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
Notes
- Store cooled crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week to maintain their crispness.
- To re-crisp slightly softened crackers, bake at 300°F (150°C) for 3-5 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Serve these savory crackers with creamy dips like hummus, guacamole, or your favorite cheese spread for a delicious snack.
- For the best cracker texture, ensure your almond flour is finely ground and avoid overmixing the dough to prevent a tough result.
