Ingredients
- Boxed Brownie Mix: 1 (13×9-inch pan size) plus ingredients called for on the box
- All-Purpose Flour: 1 cup
- Brown Sugar: 1/2 cup, packed
- Granulated Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- Unsalted Butter: 1/2 cup, softened
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
- Chocolate Chips: 1 cup
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Pour into a greased 13×9-inch pan and bake according to package directions, but reduce the baking time by 5-7 minutes. The brownies should be slightly underbaked. Let cool completely.
- Step 2: While brownies are cooling, prepare the cookie dough. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract.
- Step 3: Gradually add the flour and salt to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Step 4: Once the brownies are completely cool, crumble them into a large bowl. Add the cookie dough to the crumbled brownies.
- Step 5: Use your hands to combine the brownie crumbles and cookie dough until a uniform mixture forms. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Step 6: Place the brownie dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a softer, gooier center, slightly underbake the brownies a little more than you think!
- Store the brownie bombs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week to maintain their freshness.
- Serve these decadent treats with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a truly unforgettable dessert experience.
- If you want to warm them up, microwave for about 10 seconds, but keep a close eye so they don't melt!
