Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts: 4 (6-8 ounces each)
- Egg noodles: 1 (12-ounce) bag
- Chicken broth: 4 cups
- Butter: 4 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Dried parsley: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Step 2: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared dish. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Step 3: Pour the chicken broth over the chicken and add the egg noodles evenly around the chicken breasts.
- Step 4: Dot the top of the noodles with butter. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
- Step 5: Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the noodles are tender. Ensure chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat individual portions in the microwave with a splash of chicken broth to prevent drying.
- Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of extra parsley for a more elegant presentation.
- To ensure the noodles cook evenly, try breaking them in half before adding them to the dish.
