Delicious hot honey feta chicken dish: a deliciously spicy and savory recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts: 2, boneless, skinless (about 6 oz each)
  • Feta cheese: 4 ounces, crumbled
  • Hot honey: 3 tablespoons
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Red pepper flakes: 1/4 teaspoon (or more to taste)
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh thyme: 1 teaspoon, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the hot honey, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, olive oil and thyme. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spoon half of the hot honey mixture over the chicken, ensuring each breast is well coated.
  4. Step 4: Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Step 5: Remove the chicken from the oven and top with crumbled feta cheese. Spoon the remaining hot honey mixture over the feta and chicken.
  6. Step 6: Return the dish to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until the feta cheese is slightly softened and warmed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in the microwave or oven to prevent the feta from becoming overly melty.
  • Serve this dish with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in half of the hot honey mixture for at least 30 minutes before baking.
