  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Cut avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Step 2: Mash the avocado with a fork until you reach your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
  3. Step 3: Add the red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, lime juice, salt, and cumin to the bowl.
  4. Step 4: Gently stir all ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, lime juice, or jalapeño as desired.

Notes

  • To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating.
  • Guacamole is best served fresh, but if needed, revive day-old guacamole with a squeeze of extra lime juice.
