Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (20 ounce) package frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Step 2: In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Step 3: Stir in the marinara sauce, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning into the skillet with the ground beef. Bring to a simmer.
- Step 4: Add the frozen tortellini to the sauce and stir until evenly coated.
- Step 5: Pour the tortellini mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tortellini is heated through. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best reheating, cover with foil and bake at 350°F until warmed through to prevent the cheese from burning.
- Serve with a side of steamed broccoli or a crisp garden salad to complete the meal.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet when browning the beef; brown it in batches for a richer, more flavorful result.
