Delicious cajun honey butter salmon recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets (skin on or off): 4 (6-ounce)
  • Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick), softened
  • Honey: 2 tablespoons
  • Cajun seasoning: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon wedges: for serving

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until fully incorporated and smooth. Stir in the chopped parsley.
  3. Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread the Cajun honey butter mixture over the top of each fillet.
  4. Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon.
  5. Step 5: Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Gently reheat the salmon in a skillet over low heat or in a 300°F oven to prevent it from drying out.
  • This salmon pairs wonderfully with roasted asparagus or a side of creamy grits to soak up the delicious sauce.
  • For extra flavor, let the salmon marinate with the honey butter in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking.
