Ingredients
- Salmon fillets (skin on or off): 4 (6-ounce)
- Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup (1 stick), softened
- Honey: 2 tablespoons
- Cajun seasoning: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley, chopped: 2 tablespoons
- Lemon wedges: for serving
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until fully incorporated and smooth. Stir in the chopped parsley.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly spread the Cajun honey butter mixture over the top of each fillet.
- Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon.
- Step 5: Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes.
- Step 6: Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Gently reheat the salmon in a skillet over low heat or in a 300°F oven to prevent it from drying out.
- This salmon pairs wonderfully with roasted asparagus or a side of creamy grits to soak up the delicious sauce.
- For extra flavor, let the salmon marinate with the honey butter in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking.
